Does Airstreams guarantee that I will get a job at the end of my training?
While we cannot guarantee a job, our student services department is committed to job placement. Airstreams is constantly updating employment opportunities and provides its graduates a list of wind energy companies, resume writing tips, resume review, interview tips and places resumes on our Employer Access Portal. Graduates and Employers are directed to our Career Link Button on the Airstreams website to access the desired information. Graduates can keep their resumes/profile up to date. Employers/Wind Companies can view posted graduate resumes for potential hiring. Airstreams Renewables, Inc. is committed to establishing the highest placement rate of any training company in the Renewable Energy Industry.
What companies are hiring and can I contact them? There are a number of companies we work with who contact us at various times based on specific project needs or for permanent employment candidates. Though AIRSTREAMS takes an active role on behalf of students, we encourage students to be proactive in seeking employment and upon graduation, provide a list of top wind companies to help students identify potential employment targets.
Which states are most students getting hired in? There are many states throughout the United States who hire ARI Graduates. The top 10 wind states (existing capacity) are 1.Texas 2.Iowa 3.California 4.Minnesota 5.Oregon 6.Washington 7.New York 8.Colorado 9.Illinois 10.Kansas. Many other states have high growth potential projected like North and South Dakota, Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Montana, Idaho and Maine
Do I have to travel to work in this industry? Travel is not a requirement in every company but a students’ willingness to travel usually earns a higher pay/salary range
What wages can I expect for an entry level technician position? Students can expect an entry level pay/salary range between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour. Pay/salary ranges and benefit packages vary from company to company and depend on many factors including past experience, education and interview performance.
Do companies recognize anAIRSTREAMS Certificate? Yes, most wind companies and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) companies in our industry recognize an AIRSTREAMS Certificate. The ARI Brand is recognized throughout the United States and is associated with quality safety and technical career training.
