David Schulgen is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Airstreams Renewables, Inc. and has been involved in nearly all areas of wind energy since 1985. Dave has held multiple Directorships, Managerial and Supervisory positions responsible for the commissioning and operations of thousands of megawatts throughout his career. Dave started his career proudly with the US Marine Corps. as an Electrician and that training served as the foundation of our training program. Dave has held positions include: Director of Field Services for Commercial Americas with Enron and GE Wind. He was responsible for all the O&M wind projects in North America; Director of Manufacturing responsible for the assembly of all Enron Wind / Commercial Americas 1.5 megawatt turbines, now the GE 1.5 turbine; Training Manager responsible for the design and implementation of a successful skill based certification program, Manager of Electrical assembly for the Zond 750 turbine; Sky River Site Supervisor a 77 megawatt Vestas V-27 s project; Lead Technician 1500 65 kw turbines.
Jeffrey Duff is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Founding member of Airstreams Renewables, Inc. Since 2003, Mr. Duff helped shape the mission of Airstreams and guide its steady growth and reputation into what is today – an industry recognized vocational training company.
Mr. Duff’s career in renewables began in March 2000 working through the transition of Zond Energy Systems, Enron Wind Energy and GE Wind Energy providing statistical performance improvement and management.
Prior to working in the wind industry, Mr. Duff worked for Department of Interior, Wildfire Management with the Bureau of Land Management. Jeff has an MS in Mathematics with a specialization in teaching from California Polytechnic State University and a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Economics (International Trade) from California State University, Long Beach.
Grant joined Airstreams in April 2010 to help establish our placement services and admissions strategy by bringing over 20 years of sales and business development experience. As ARI continues to establish itself as a leader in vocational training among transitioning service members, Grant is focused on maintaining and establishingnew industry relationships that enhance our student job placement.
· Business Development North America for Wood Group (Renewable Energy Services) responsible for selling operations and maintenance contracts and field services technicians directly to wind turbine sites
· Western Hemisphere Business Development Manager for RBG USA Inc, responsible for overall sales of manpower, services, and bolt tensioning divisions in the Western Hemisphere (USA, Mexico, and Trinidad)
· West Coast Branch Manager/Gulf Coast Regional Manager for Salamis Services, responsible for profit and loss of four west coast branches and for business development of sales and rentals for both onshore and offshore accounts
· Attended the University of Washington where he was a kicker for the football team
Matthew Barnes joined Airstreams Renewables, Inc. as Training Manager to launch the companies first ever Career Skills Program on post at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in January 2015 following his retirement from the US Army after a 29 year career. Through the company's continued growth, Matt has taken on the role of Vice president of Operations to launch our Fort Riley, Fort Hood and Fort Benning CSP branch locations.
US Army career state side and conflict deployments prepared Matt to becoming the first Joint Base Command Sergeant Major for Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Matt completed all NCO levels of education and holds a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College, NY.
Matt's achievements over the years led to numerous awards and decoration throughout his military career service. As a proud veteran, Matt continues his work of service with the USO Northwest, Hire Americas Heroes and serves as the second vice president for the Capitan Meriwether Lewis Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.
Margie joined Airstreams Renewables, Inc. at the beginning of 2016 bringing an extensive background in corporate financing and accounting. Working directly for the Chief Financial Officer, Margie is responsible for overseeing our accounting team responsible for financial planning and analysis in accordance with U.S. GAAP, financial audits and monitoring and implementing internal controls in compliance with company policies. which owns and operates one of the first commercial wind projects in the
Tehachapi Pass. Bob's career in wind energy is extensive, with his
most recent corporate position as VP of Commercial Operations for
Clipper Wind Power, including North American sales. Prior to joining
Clipper, Bob served in a senior position within GE Energy's wind energy
segment, with responsibilities spanning wind power project development,
wind turbine sales, and related activities in government and regulatory,
construction and operations. Under his sales leadership, GE became one
of the world’s most prominent wind turbine suppliers. Bob Gates’
leadership in the global wind industry extends from the pioneering era
in the early 1980's, when, as a principal and senior manager of Zond
Systems, the company grew to become a leading wind power project
developer and wind turbine manufacturer. Bob’s senior management role
continued through Zond’s strategic and proactive acquisition by Enron in
1997, and the subsequent acquisition of the company's wind turbine
technology by GE in 2002. Bob has served as a member of the board of the
American Wind Energy Association since the outset of the U.S. wind
energy industry in the early 1980’s, and the organization’s president in
1999-2000, and again in 2007-2008. Bob is also an acting board member
of the California Wind Energy Association.
SgtMaj Frank E. Pulley USMC (Ret) is the President, Military Veteran Solutions, Inc. (MVS). MVS is focused on connecting honorably discharged veterans and transitioning service members with highly reputable educational, job training and job placement organizations. A native of Springfield, Tenn., Frank Pulley reported to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, Calif., on 1 August 1977. His military career spanned over 30 years where he served in each of the respective elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) in a wide variety of duty assignments, exercises and operations in both CONUS and OCONUS. Frank is the West Coast Area Representative for Marine Corps Association and Foundation (MCA&F), the Corps’ preeminent Professional Association. He was formerly an appointee on the Secretary of the Navy Retiree Council and currently serves as a Military Advisor for the Navy and Marine Association (NMA). Frank also actively consults with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring our Heroes program and is a member of several military/veteran service organizations. His civilian education includes a Master of Science Degree in Executive Leadership (MSEL) from the University of San Diego, Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/Human Resources (Summa Cum Laude) and an Associate of Science Degree in Personnel Management.
